Sea Island x Grey Hall Design
An iconic collaboration began with our visit to a little slice of heaven on the Golden Isles, Sea Island. The glamour and charm of The Cloister set the scene for the 2022 Southern C. Page and I were in the most lovely swirl meeting fellow entrepreneurs and some of the hardest-working and creative women in business. Among them were the most welcoming ladies of the Shop at Sea Island. There was an instant connection, and exciting conversations took off imagining the possibilities of collaborating on a proprietary silk scarf and pocket square design.
This custom design process moved into a sketch session, and finally an array of options were narrowed down to two leading designs. Bringing pencil sketches to life in loose watercolor renderings is a key piece of the process to enabling the vision to come to life.
After which, the winning design concept is recreated in exquisite detail as a formal watercolor vignettes arranged for both silk scarf and pocket square compositions. The background colorway is the most luscious peach to represent the sorbet tones of sunset at Sea Island ~ golden hour.
