Twisting Tradition began with creating a lifestyle brand. Delivered through the lens of photographer Amy Elisabeth Spasoff  @amyelisabeth12 the Knotty Scarf began to take shape.

Process: Over a glass of wine, Amy laid out her plan to capture the beautiful mystique of modern and fresh photo interpretations for wearing a scarf. What better way to get on the same page than creating a secret Pinterest board as our style-board for capturing ideas and letting the best bubble up like champagne!

Shoot: The shoot was a whirlwind of chic, organized chaos! BUT, Amy orchestrated with perfection. Every detail: Silk scarf, pose, lighting, location, attire was planned in a spreadsheet for exquisitely efficient execution.

Location: Downtown Cincinnati’s Over the Rhine (OTR) gem became our destination for setting the scene “Anytown, USA”. My Jeep was our temporary studio…like gypsies, we set-up camp to start the shooting shenanigans. The one thing I forgot…a DRESSING ROOM! With no time to resolve, brunch-goers across the street received a surprise with their eggs and coffee!

Outcome: You get to be the judge, but I’m pretty ecstatic about the photos Amy delivered showcasing a lifestyle accented by luxurious silk scarves with hand-rolled edges.
